This winter, we've vowed to go to a movie every Wednesday..Yesterday we saw "True Grit". It really was good, I'm old enough to remember the original!! Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon were very convincing, along with the little girl (don't remember her name..sorry) Altho sometimes, i thought they carried the mumbling a bit too far.. and here i thought i could understand all drunks!!
Afterward, it was time for happpy hour :=) Our local pub Walnut Grove has wine Wednesday!! A bottle of wine is half price and lots of $5 apps.. Too good to pass up. I have a lovely girlfriend that I met while working at the restaurant.. Naturally i'm over twice her age.. but she doesn't seem to mind. Called her and she joined us about an hour later.. Hubby and i had finished our first bottle of wine, so we got another to share, then another, then another..Am really feeling it today.. Not as young as i used to be.. Been battling high blood pressure and finally have it under control.. But today my dr said because of meds, take extra precautions in the sun in Mexico, so I got 30 spf lotion.. And here i really wanted to come home with a tan.. 7 days from now we'll be on the beach.. Yea!! only 2 more snowstorms predicted before our trip.. Really??? Give us a break!!
