New furnace still scheduled for tomorrow.. it was 4 degrees last night.. Thank you God for electric blankets and woodburners.. My husband pointed out we really can't leave the house like this as without any heat, the pipes would all freeze!!
On vacation, we decided to go into town (Playa del Carmen) for a nice seafood dinner. Asked the front desk and they recommended Ajua, great seafood located just off 5th Ave. Gave us a free drink card (!) and off we went. Playa is very easy to navigate. The main street, 5th Ave, is a pedestrian-only street with colorful out-door shops, stalls, restaurants and bars. So much fun just to walk along and mingle. We must have seen 5 or 6 strolling groups, singing and playing instruments.. There is always music playing somewhere :=) The side streets are all numbered.. north is beyond the ferry pier and south is before the pier. Found Ajua and and were treated royally ( as everyone in Mexico is) Our drinks came balanced on the head of our server.. He delivered 8 drinks at once to a table near us.. They were stacked on top of each other.. What a show!! Splurged on lobster tails and were the freshest and most tender we'd had in forever :=)Shopped and strolled back to the cabs and, back at the resort, had a couple of nightcaps :=) Nice evening!!
