All in all, not the happiest day :=) Stupid Steelers, they did everything they could to blow that game, and they succeeded amazingly well.
Then, had to say good-by to our first-born. He works outside in Colorado, around Aspen and Glenwood Springs, so is very busy all-year round. He runs a landspacing business that does a lot of upkeep and maintenance on businesses in the valley. In the winter they're responsible for plowing and keeping lots open. He also does roofing when he has time so, as I said, he's doing something all the time. It's not easy for him to get away, so we do miss him and don't see him as often as we'd like.
We visited 2 summers ago and the elevation seemed to bother my husband. That never happened before. He took us to the top of Ajax Mt( almost 14,000 ft) on the chair lift and after awhile we noticed my husbands lips started turning blue!! Lack of oxygen!! So, back down to Aspen, which is still 8,000 ft, and he returned to normal. Son told us it's not the best place to retire(I thought he just didn't want us near him when he first told us that) because of that lack of oxygen. At that altitude, you're getting only abut 60% of usable oxygen. And in us old folks, that's not nearly enough!!So, crossed that off our retirement list! And it is Gods Country out there. Absolutely breath-taking!! Another time I'll tell our adventures 4-wheeling over mountain passes out there. We 're probably lucky to be alive :=)
See, I didn't even dwell on the Steelers... 'nuf said
